William "Billy" Myers Chilton

William Myers "Billy" Chilton, Sr., age 75, of Salvisa, died Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Haggin Memorial Hospital in Harrodsburg, KY.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Berryman Huntly and Emma Spaulding Chilton.  He was a member of Claylick United Methodist Church where he attended the Nifty-Fifty Sunday School Class.  He was a driver for By-Pass Motors and a life member of Royal Arch Masons Davies Chapter 29 and 32nd degree Mason. He was a member of St. John's Masonic Lodge 125, attended Mercer County Senior Citizens Center, 35 year member of Salvisa Ruritan Club and 25 year leader with the Mercer County 4-H Council. He was also a member of the Hebron Cemetery Board and a 1959 Graduate of Mercer County High School.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Gloria Ann Sea Chilton, Salvisa; daughter, Tiua Chilton and her husband, David Sullivan, Salvisa; 2 sons, Clint (Vicki) Goins, Frankfort, and Coy (Rachel) Chilton, Salvisa; 7 grandchildren, Tate (Jason) Hyatt, Reid Goins, Huntly Chilton, Emmaly Chilton, Wyatt Chilton, Mallory Sullivan, and Kelia Sullivan; 2 great-grandchildren, Sawyer and Clark Hyatt.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Pat Carter and brother, B.H. Chilton.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Monday, February 22, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Shannon Blosser officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery.  Visitation will be 3:00 – 8:00 P.M. Sunday with a Masonic Service being held at 7:00 P.M. Sunday.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Hebron Cemetery Board, 110 Station Drive, Salvisa, KY 40372.

Pallbearers will be David Sullivan, Reid Goins, Todd Hawkins, J.D. Chilton, B.R. Chilton, and Huntly Chilton.  Honorary bearers will be Tom Chapman, Marion Wilson, Jerry Connelly, June Gritton, and all grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
