William Ralph Jeffries

William Ralph Jeffries, 93, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Ida Roberta Chowning Jeffries, passed away Thursday, June 13, 2024 at his residence.

He was born in Lawrenceburg, KY to the late Ralph Thomas Jeffries and Margery America Hardin Jeffries. Mr. Jeffries is a US Army Veteran; graduate of Western High School; member at Van Buren Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School Teacher; worked as a painter for over 50 years; Kentucky Colonel and also a a member of the American Legion Post 34.

Mr. Jeffries is survived by a son, Scott Jeffries (Tanya), of Lawrenceburg; 5 daughters, Theresa Partlow (WIlliam), of Lawrenceburg, Regina Taylor, of Barbourville, Marjorie Best (Bobby), Ruth Stratton (Robert), and Melissa Roberts (Glynn), all of Lawrenceburg; son-in-law, Greg Grigsby; 19 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; and 9 great-great grandchildren.

William was preceded in death by daughter, Tina Grigsby; sisters, Louise Giles, Eva Haeberlin and Emma Waldridge; and great grandchild, Aiven Cox.

Funeral services will be Monday, June 17, 2024 at Westside Community Church at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Terry Mattingly officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday, June 16, 2024 from 4-7 p.m. at Noon & Son Funeral Home and Monday, June 17, 2024 from 11-1p.m. At Westside Community Baptist Church.

Casket bearers will be his grandchildren.
