Sherry Lynn (Satterly) Walker

Sherry Lynn Satterly Walker, 62, of Frankfort, wife of 33 years to Kevin Walker, died Saturday February 25, 2023 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Frankfort, KY on September 4, 1960 to the late Eddie DeVaughn Satterly and JoAnn Willard Adams. She attended Western Anderson High School and was a former employee of the Anderson County Board of Education. She enjoyed time spent riding bikes and listening to live music with her husband Kevin and their friends, embracing ocean waves with her grandchildren, shopping trips with her daughter Misty, crafting, puzzles, decorating and most recently, watching Patrick MaHomes play football.

Sherry impacted her community as a strong advocate for addiction awareness with her relentless involvement where she was co-founder and first acting president of H.E.R.O.E.S. As much as she found herself there for those in need, it did not pertain only to humans as Sherry took great joy in rescuing dogs with disabilities. She did this not as an obligation, but rather to fulfill her calling of who and what she truly was.

While Sherry's family grieves her loss, they choose to honor her by remembering the affection she showered on those she loved. Her husband Kevin, daughter Misty, son-in-law, Robert and son, TJ all considered themselves blessed and fortunate to play an intimate role in her daily life. But the title she most proudly donned was that of Nana. She devoted the last 20 years of her life pouring herself into her four grandchildren Morgan, Carly, Brady and Hayden. There was no ballgame, play, concert, party or sleepover request she failed to host or attend. They were all the reason she ever needed. She was loved, and her warm embrace, sassiness and laughter will be sorely missed by them and many others.

Along with her husband she is survived by her daughter, Misty (Robert) Tackett, Lawrenceburg and four grandchildren, Morgan Wells, Carly Tackett, Brady Tackett and Hayden Walker; and special cousins, Debbie Goodlett, Jennifer (Glen) Drury, and Susan (Larry) Beasley, all of Lawrenceburg.

Including her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Timothy Justin "TJ" Walker and sister, Terry Pogioli.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. FD Robinson, Jr. officiating. Visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the service. Cremation will follow after the services.

Honorary bearers will be Robert Tackett, Brian Sudduth, Rob Peters, Rodney Sutton, Eddie Hatchett, Mike Wells, Ryan Eckhart and Joe Pogioli.
