Sherry Jean Medley

Sherry Jean Medley, age 60, of Frankfort passed away Sunday, January 12, 2020 at her residence.

She was the daughter of the late Orville Thomas and Wilma Lene Masters Willard.  She was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, and retired from Kentucky State Government after 27 years where she worked with the Division of Water. She also worked for Frankfort Chiropractic Center for 12 years.  She was a 1977 Graduate of Franklin County High School.

She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren.  She was a Cub Scout den leader for Pack 31 for several years in Frankfort and an avid UK Wildcat fan.  She loved going to the beach.

She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Johnny Medley; daughter, Sara Beth Medley, Louisville; son, John Thomas (Stefanie) Medley, Frankfort; brother, Stanley Ray Stewart, Lawrenceburg; sisters, Georgie Willard, Lawrenceburg and Sara Roberts, Salvisa; 5 grandchildren, Jordan Medley, Landan Vaughn, Autumn Vaughn, Kayden Brown, and Trevor James Medley; special friends, Kim Holley, Jacksonville, FL, Susan Edwards Grisby, Billie Joe Blair, and Wendy Riddle Hampton, all of Frankfort.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Durr; maternal grandparents, George and Esther Masters; and paternal grandparents, Raymond and Mattie Willard.

Funeral services will be held at Gash Memorial Chapel at 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 15, 2020 with Pastor Steve Weaver.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. till the time of service.

Casketbearers will be James Hatfield, Cletus "Buster" Riley, Michael Woolums, Alan Peach, Chuck Grace, and Jason Beeler.  Honorary bearers will be her grandchildren and Anthony Woolums.
