Sherrell Sue (Bragg) Dozier

Sherrell Sue Bragg Dozier, 80, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, March 22, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Ms. Dozier was born in Persinger, West Virginia to the late John Milton and Mamie Beatrice Legg Bragg.  She was a member of Alton Baptist Church and retired from the Anderson County Board of Education.

Sue is survived by her companion of 33 years, Joe D. Carpenter, Lawrenceburg; two sons, Patrick Dozier, Lawrenceburg, and Mike Carpenter, Versailles; daughter, Karen Carpenter, Detroit, Michigan; four grandchildren, Patrick Dozier, Maya Dozier, Justin Malone, Yvonne Carpenter; great-granddaughter, Alonna Dozier; sister, Ona Lee Smith, Salem, Ohio; ex daughter-in-law, Tammy Wash; and her beloved fur baby, Pepper.

She was preceded in death by five brothers.

Funeral service will be 12:00 p.m. Monday, March 29, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Noal Cotton officiating.  Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Pulaski County.  Visitation 10 a.m. -12 p.m. Monday prior to the service.

Pall bearers will be Mike Carpenter, Dave Osborne, Johnny Holcomb, Justin Malone, Tom Bragg, and Joe Bragg.  Honorary pall bearer will be Anthony Carpenter.
