Rudy Bernard Johnson, Sr.

Rudy Bernard Johnson, Sr., 75, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, June 19, 2022 at his residence.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Sylvester and Evelyn Price Johnson. He was a member at Evergreen Baptist Church; US Army Veteran where he served in the the Vietnam War; retired from IBM where he worked for over 30 years in maintenance and engineering; and member of Masonic Lodge #6 in Bardstown.

Mr. Johnson is survived by three children, Rudy Bernard (Elizabeth) Johnson, Jr., Frankfort, Yvette Lorain (Joseph) Weathers, Los Angeles, CA and Tara Marie (Edgar) Hernandez, of Lexington; beloved dog, Cassie; 4 grandchildren, Dominique and Keiarra Johnson and London and Ian Hernandez; 3 great-grandchildren, Ava and Eli Johnson and Kingslyn Jones; 3 brothers, Sherman (Donna) Johnson, New Jersey, Vaughn (Vanessa) Kelly Johnson, Winchester, and Kurk (Tommie) Johnson, of Georgia; two sisters, Jewell (Freddie) Brown, Harrodsburg and Wanda (Gary) Brown, of Arizona; several nieces and nephews; and aunt, Darnella "Doll" Price, of San Diego, CA.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Freddie Johnson and sister, Monica Smith.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
