Ray Searcy

Ray Searcy, 73, of Mt. Eden, died Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the Golden Living Center in Frankfort, KY.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Sherman and Helen Potts Searcy. He was a member of Briar Ridge Christian Church in Spencer County, and retired Supervisor from the Anderson County Road Department.

Mr. Searcy is survived by his wife of 48 years, Darlene Peach Searcy, of Mt. Eden; daughter, Sue (Kevin) Cox; two granddaughters, Mackenzie and Madison Cox; brothers, Charles (Nileeta) Searcy, Forest (Mary Ann) Searcy and Collis (Rhonda) Searcy, all of Lawrenceburg; and sister, Mary Frances (Ernest) Lisby, of Waddy.

He was preceded in death by his son, Ray "Buster" Searcy, Jr.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating.  Burial will follow in the Best Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.

Casketbearers will be Jimmy Curtsinger, Donald Cox, Forest Searcy, Collis Searcy, Kenny Peach, and Floyd Johnson, Jr.  Honorary bearers will be Arvil McClain, Everett Ray Peach, and Floyd Johnson.
