Phillip Wayne "Pops" Robinson, age 70, of Frankfort, died Monday, January 18, 2016 at the V.A. Medical Center in Lexington.

Mr. Robinson was born in Louisville, KY to the late Lyle D. and Mae Edwin Ford Robinson. He was a member of Farmdale Baptist Church; retired mechanic from the KY Dept. of Justice; and a member of the Shelbyville Chapter 1715 Moose Lodge.

He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Marcella Kim Wright Robinson; one daughter, Cynthia Robinson (Steven) White; one son, Anthony Wayne (Tricia Sewell) Robinson; cousins, Brenda (Danny) Hatchell, Paula Bowles, all of Frankfort; special friend, Julie (David) Gaines, Lawrenceburg; and three grandchildren, Alexis Mae Robinson, Richmond, Kayla Sue Robinson, and Austin Wayne Patrick, both of Frankfort.

He was preceded in death by a son, David Robinson; sisters, Sue Carol Evans, Vicki L. McElroy; and granddaughter, Kimber Robinson.

A memorial service will be Sunday, January 24, 2016 at 5 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel.  Burial will be Monday, January 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-5 p.m. Sunday. Cremation was chosen. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
