Peggy Ann (Thurman) Dennis

Peggy Ann Thurman Akins Dennis, 75, of Lawrenceburg, passed away Monday, August 18, 2025 at Hometown Manor in Shelbyville, KY.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Henry Cole Thurman and Jennie Bain Thurman. She was retired from the Kentucky State Government where she worked as a secretary for the Department of the Blind.

Peggy is survived by two daughters, Tiffany Cole Kessinger and Veronica Ann Bickers, both of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Austin (Brittany) Bickers, Zach Bickers, Hayden Kessinger, and Sawyer Kate Satterly; two great-grandchildren, Easten and Owen Bickers; 5 brothers, Garrett (Phyllis) Thurman, Henry Thurman, Sr., Kenny Thurman, Benny (Rosemary) Thurman, and Darrell Thurman; two sisters, Sue Young and Linda Egbert, all of Frankfort.

Ms. Dennis was preceded in death by her first husband, Ronnie Gene Akins; second husband, Zeke Eugene Dennis; brother, Donald Thurman and sister, Rexie Douglas.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Noon & Son Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Glenn Corn officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:30-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.

Casket bearers will be Zach Bickers, Austin Bickers, Russell Satterly, Hayden Kessinger, Eric Bickers, Easten Bickers.
