Peggy Sue Johnson Stratton, 47, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Newnan, Georgia.

She was born in Columbia, KY to Nova Ann Wright Johnson of Russell Springs and the late Arlo Johnson.  She was a member of First Baptist Church; employed by the Department of Transportation, Division of Purchases as Director for the last 6 years, and has worked for the state for a total of 26 years.

Mrs. Stratton is survived by her husband of 28 years, Tim Stratton; son, Kyle Stratton, both of Lawrenceburg; four brothers, Ricky (Megan) Johnson, Ronald (Deidra) Johnson, Dallas (Jean) Johnson, and Marvin (Ann) Johnson; two sisters, Betty (Steve) McBeath and Sandra (Cliff) Honaker, all of Russell Springs.

Besides her father, Peggy was preceded in death by her brother, Lonnie Gene Johnson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, August 13, 2016 at the First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg, KY with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating.  Burial will be in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 4-8 p.m. CST Thursday, August 11, 2016 at Bernard Funeral Home in Russell Springs, and 4-8 p.m. Friday, August 12, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, KY.  Bernard Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
