Oneita Moffett Perry, 90, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, May 13, 2016 at Heritage Hall Healthcare Center.
She was born in Anderson County to the late Collie Elmo and Katherine Franklin Moffett. She was a 1942 graduate of Kavanaugh High School; member of Pigeon Fork Baptist Church; retired from Lawrenceburg National Bank as Vice President of Operations and head teller for over 50 years; served on the Board of Directors of Farmer's Bank in Lawrenceburg; and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Alvin Huston Perry, Lawrenceburg; sister, Phyllis Bumgardner, Douglasville, GA; several nieces and nephews, John (Carol) Moffett, Terry (Carla) Cornish, both of Harrodsburg, Gene (Sue) Moffett, Exeter, RI, Charisse (Michael) Weigner, GA, Donnie Perry, Fort Wayne, IN, and Debbie Chamoun, Memphis, TN.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Franklin Moffett and Roy Bruston Moffett.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 16, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Nephew Terry Cornish officiating. Burial will follow at the Pigeon Fork Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 5-8 p.m.
Casketbearers will be John Moffett, Gene Moffett, Terry Cornish, Michael Weigner, Richard Bruston Moffett, Doug Cornish, Tom Houchin and Steve Cobb.
