Norma Blanche Dennis

Norma Blanche Taylor Dennis, 93, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Vernon Ralph Dennis, Sr., died Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at Taylor Manor in Versailles.

She was born in Jefferson County to the late Everett B. and Alice Hazel Cammack Taylor. She was a long-time member at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church where she served on various committees and taught Sunday School Class. She was a 1947graduate of Western High School. Ms. Dennis owned and operated Ralph Dennis Grocery with her husband in the western part of Anderson County for over 61 years. In 2010 she opened Norma's Cactus and Collectables in Lawrenceburg. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star; an avid collector of head vases, Christmas trees, cookie jars and growing cacti.

Norma is survived by her two sons, Ralph (Nancy) Dennis, Jr., Lawrenceburg and Jerel (Ruth) Dennis, of Nicholasville; two grandchildren, Denise (James) Myers and Vernon Ralph "Chip" Dennis III; great-grandson, James "Bennett" Myers; brother, Carroll (JoAnn) Taylor; and sister, Pat (Doug) Hanks, both of Lawrenceburg; and a faithful companion, Oreo.

Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dennis Dalton.

Funeral services will be Friday, February 24, 2023 at Gash Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Bro. Larry Gritton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. prior to the service.

Pall bearers will be Brent Cammack, David Taylor, James Myers, Chip Dennis, Kerry Taylor and Ashley Gritton.
