Michael Raymond Thompson

Michael Raymond Thompson, age 58, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, February 17, 2016 at the Hospice Care Center in Lexington, KY.

He was born in Shelby County to the late Raymond Lee and Nan Lee McFarland Thompson.  He was a member of Alton Christian Church; a 1976 graduate of Anderson County High School; and a former maintenance worker for the Carrollton Housing Authority.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Whitney Michelle Thompson.

He is survived by four sisters, Becky (Darrell) Young, Debbie Springate, Marianne (Ricky) Richardson, and Verlinda (Jess) Sanford, all of Lawrenceburg; aunt, Margaret Hughes, Georgetown; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 19, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Noal Cotton officiating.  Burial will follow in the Grove Hill Cemetery in Shelbyville, KY.  Visitation 11-1 pm Friday.

Casketbearers will be Matthew and Patrick Richardson, Joey Young, Ryan Springate, Chris Hughes, and William Lee Thompson.  Honorary bearers will be Wallace Thompson, Darrell Young, Alan Hughes, Ricky Richardson, and Robbie Thompson.
