Melissa Jeffries Roberts (born April 2, 1967) of Lawrenceburg, KY, passed from this life to eternal life on December 14th, 2025. She was the beloved wife of Glynn Ervin Roberts and the devoted mother of Shawn Patrick (Amber) Cox, Matthew Thomas (Katelyn) Cox, and Zachariah Jordan Roberts, all of whom reside in Lawrenceburg. She was the cherished grandmother or "Nanny" of Nathaniel Patrick Cox, Owen Asher Cox, and Hayden Oliver Cox.
Melissa is also survived by her siblings, Theresa (William) Partlow, Marjorie (Bobby) Best, Ruth (Robert) Stratton, Scott (Tanya) Jeffries, all of Lawrenceburg, and Regina Taylor of Barbourville, a brother-in-law, Greg Grigsby of Jamestown, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and great-nephews who loved her very much.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Ralph Jeffries and Ida Roberta Chowning Jeffries, her sister, Tina Grigsby, and her granddaughter, Aiven Elicia Cox.
A 1985 graduate of Western School and a member of Westside Christian Church in Lawrenceburg, Melissa worked in and managed gas stations throughout Anderson County for most of her career, including the two gas stations at Hilltop, before culminating her career as the overarching manager of the Parkway Shell and Parkway Marathon.
Melissa met Glynn while working at one of her gas stations in Hilltop. What began with a simple hello and playful conversation grew into a lifelong love, culminating in their marriage on April 29, 2008. Together, they built a life rooted in love and family, and Melissa later legally adopted Zach. In recent years, Melissa and Glynn especially treasured spending time with their children and grandchildren and could often be found cheering them on in their various athletic activities. When she wasn't supporting her family, Melissa could be seen cheering just as enthusiastically for the Kentucky Wildcats.
She was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2020, which later spread to her brain. Melissa and her family extend their heartfelt gratitude to the doctors and caregivers who worked faithfully to extend and enrich her time with those she loved.
