Maurice Allen Bowen

Maurice Allen Bowen, 88, of Lawrenceburg, widower of Eva Kathaleen Lynn Bowen, died Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Signature Healthcare Center.

Mr. Bowen was born in Anderson County to the late Herbert Guy and Edath Earl Houchins Bowen. He was a member at Claylick United Methodist Church and attended Kavanaugh School.

He is survived by one son, Allen Wayne (Ann) Bowen, of Burgin; three daughters, Patricia Tyler, of Winter Haven, FL, Edath Parks, and Lela Stewart, both of Lawrenceburg; eight grandchildren, Paula (Jeff) Walls, Cheryl (Jon) Stewart, Whitney Tyler, Lynnette (Jose) Batista, Cameron Parks, Cody Parks and Sarah Stewart; great-grandchildren, Chelsi Hillard, Will Stewart, Jordan Batista, Jacob Batista, and Everly Parks; and great-great grandchild, Chapman Hillard.

Along with his wife he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlotte Bowen Donovan; two sisters, Onita Morgan and Francis Thornburg; two brothers, Herbert and Ralph Bowen.

Funeral services will be Friday, January 12, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Charlie Shoemaker officiating at Gash Memorial Chapel. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-8 p.m.
