Mary Elizabeth (Vowels) Brown Koger

Mary Elizabeth Vowels Brown Koger, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Dillard Koger, died Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at her residence. She was born in Anderson County to the late Charles Klien Vowels and Mildred Frances Campbell. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness, and the Store Owner of the Trading Post. She was a 1947 graduate of Lawrenceburg City High School. Mary is survived by her son, Mitch Brown; two daughters, Beverly Chambers and Mary Jordan, all of Lawrenceburg; 3 grandchildren, Chris Chambers and Ryan Jordan, Lawrenceburg, Tyler Jordan Lexington; 2 great-grandchildren, Kennedie and Tucker Chambers, Lawrenceburg. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Lloyd Brown; two sisters, JoAnn Perry and Martha Crutcher. Funeral services will be 5:00 p.m. Friday, January 5, 2018 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Randy Peyton officiating. Burial will follow at a later date in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
