Mary Lydia (Peyton) Hutton

Mary Lydia Peyton Hutton, age 95, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Theodore Hutton, died Monday, January 30, 2017 at her residence.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Frank and Ruth Stratton Peyton.  She spent her days as a homemaker and was a member of Sand Spring Baptist Church, Dorcas/Homemakers Sunday School Class, and the Swingin' Saints; and Fox Creek Homemakers.

Mrs. Hutton is survived by two daughters, Barbara Hawkins and Rita (Kenny) Phillips; son, Allen (Pam) Hutton; sister, Ruth Crossfield, all of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Vickie (Brian) Dyer, Shawn (Katie) Hutton, Sara (Chris) Lindsey, Jason Phillips, Ben (Erin) Phillips; step-grandchildren, Christy (Robert) Bicknell, Brent Hawkins, Darren (Becky) Hawkins, Sandy (James) Ritchey; great-grandchildren, Lauren and Kristen Dyer, Makayla Lindsey, Harper Kate Hutton, Matthew Phillips; step-great grandchildren, Lane and Jenna Bicknell, Mary Ann Ritchey, Josh Ritchey, Dalton Hawkins; and step great-great grandson, Noah Ritchey.

She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lee Ann Ellis; great-grandson, James Brady Ellis; two sisters, and three brothers.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 2, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 4-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Casket bearers will be Jason Phillips, Ben Phillips, Brian Dyer, Chris Wray, Matthew Hurt, Shawn Hutton, Chris Lindsey, Robert Bicknell, and Lane Bicknell.  Honorary bearers will be the Dorcas/Homemakers Sunday School Class.
