Mary Virginia Bryant Sherwood Hyatt, 87, of Lawrenceburg, wife of William Warren Hyatt, died Thursday, August 11, 2016 at her sons home in Salvisa.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Winford and Mary Hazel Cummins Bryant.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and Joy Sunday School Class; member of the American Legion Auxillary; and was a button sorter for Universal Fasteners for 33 years.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Hyatt is survived by her son, Allen Wayne (Brenda) Sherwood, Salvisa; sister, Patricia Sutton (Floyd) Aldridge, Lawrenceburg; two grandchildren, Bryan (Heather) Sherwood, Lexington, and Chad (Lisa) Sherwood, Independence; and great-grandchild, Caleb Sherwood, Independence.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bryant and Earl (Buddy) Bryant; and sister, Connie Jo Durr.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Casketbearers will be Ronnie Hudnall, Mark Bryant, Shane Sutton, Jimmy Durr, Joe Durr, and Dudley Darnell.
