Marie (Drury) Spaulding

Marie Drury Spaulding, 85, of Lawrenceburg, widow of William Glenn Spaulding, died Saturday, December 21, 2019 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Jessie Wallace and Marey Grider Drury. Marie was a member at Lawrenceburg Community Baptist and retired from the State Government where she worked in the Department of Revenue and Education.

Ms. Spaulding is survived by one daughter, Paula (Ricky) Stratton; sisters, Bonnie Casey, Donna (Eunice) Satterly, Jean (Darrell) Sea; brother, Ernie Drury; sister-in-law, Nellie Drury; two grandchildren, Brandon Scott (Kelcie) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg and Brittany Stratton (James) Lowry, of Lexington; two great-grandchildren, Jackson and Abigail Lowry, both of Lexington.

Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by 5 sisters, Juanita Freeman, Pauline White, Eva Mae Drury, Beulah Drury and Eula Drury; and two brothers, Alvin and Slick Drury.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Steve Broughton officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10-1 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday.

Casket bearers will be Logan Stevens, Ricky Stratton, Zane Baker, Caleb White, Jessie Drury, Wade Wilson and Lance Terrell. Honorary bearers will be Brandon Stratton, Brittany Lowry, Kelcie Hawkins, Jake Lowry, Darrell Sea, Lonnie Lee Spaulding, Carson Drury, Dale Freeman and Eunice Satterly.
