Louise McCarty Perry, 81, of Lawrenceburg, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on Sunday, April 18, 2021.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Edward Clarence and Lucy Belle Curtsinger McCarty. Louise was a member of Alton Christian Church and obtained a Bachelors of the Arts from Eastern Kentucky University. She was a former elementary school teacher in Anderson County. She also worked as a social worker and then later retired from the Kentucky Cabinet of Human Resources where she became a Regional Supervisor. Louise had the honor of being named a Kentucky Colonel, she was a member of the Democratic Women's Club, she was an avid rook player, member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed watching horse racing. In 1972, Louise was the first person in Anderson County to set up a Salvation Army kettle on Main St. in front of the Caudill Building. It was her lifelong mission to serve others, and she was known for always loving everyone unconditionally.

Louise is survived by her three children, Ricky C. (Dottie) Perry, of Versailles, Timothy Ray (Candy) Perry, and Angela Ervin (Tony) Fields, both of Lawrenceburg; special daughter-in-law, Stacey (Rich) Pfeiffer, of Lawrenceburg; special aunt, Betty Curtsinger Baxter, step-son, Nelson Eugene Perry, of Frankfort; special caregiver and friend, Janet Fisher, Lawrenceburg; 9 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Elissa Lynne Perry and sister, Mary Jane Milburn.

A celebration of life service will be held at Anderson Christian Church on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Jonathan Gleason officiating. Visitation will be held from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service. Because Louise was known for her love of hats and colorful attire guests are invited to wear those in her memory.
