Lorena Mae (Buckley) Briscoe

Lorena Mae Buckley Briscoe, age 87, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Collie Curtis Briscoe, died Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Richard Samuel and Emma Lee Tipton Buckley.  She was a member of First Baptist Church and New Hope Sunday School Class; retired cafeteria worker at Emma B. Ward Elementary School; farmer; and homemaker.

Mrs. Briscoe is survived by three grandchildren, Brad (April) Briscoe, Jacksonville, FL, Paul Curtis (Jeanetta) Briscoe, Pleasureville, KY, Tim Shaw, Lawrenceburg, KY; and two great-grandchildren, Jayden and Bristol Briscoe.

She was preceded in death by her son, Donnie Briscoe; three brothers, R.S. Buckley, Clarence Buckley, John Buckley; and three sisters, Josie Buckley, Margaret Reynolds and Waldine Reynolds.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Curtis Briscoe officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 11-1 Friday.

Casketbearers are Wayne Young, Scotty Buckley, Rodney Tipton, Mike Tipton, Jim Constable and Glen Mayewski.  Honorary bearers are the Deacons and New Hope Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church.
