Linual Clay Barnett, 72, of Lawrenceburg, went home to meet his Savior surrounded by his loving wife, Florence Raye Cornish Barnett and family on Friday, September 2, 2016 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center
He was born in Anderson County to the late Ollie Herbert and Hazel Dell Sea Barnett. He was a member at Van Buren Baptist Church; retired from General Electric as a former custodian and line worker; a farmer; and a member of the Masonic Lodge Beaver Creek 335.
In addition to his wife of 53 years he is survived by a daughter, Jeanette Powers; one son, Steven Barnett; sister, Linda Sutherland; four grandchildren, Amanda (David) Cartinhour, Casey (Bob) Hanson, Nicholas (Amanda) Crouch, and Schuyler Barnett; and four great-grandchildren, Landen Cartinhour, Raylee Cartinhour, Tyler Hanson, and Cason Hanson, all of Lawrenceburg.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Clayburn Sea, Ralph, Thurl, Aaron, Ruben, and John Barnett; and three sisters, Gertrude Conway, Idell Thurman, and Brenda Stucker.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Paul and Winford Hagerman officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.
Casketbearers will be Jeff Isham, Louis Sea, Larry Cornish, Nick Crouch, Schuyler Barnett, Bruce Cornish, and Marvin Barnett. Honorary bearers will be Freddie Armstrong, Jimmy Curtsinger, Jeff Curtsinger, J.R. Barnett, Larry Dial, Trenton Vincent, and David Sims.
