Linda Sue Wallace, 65, of Frankfort, passed away Friday, Nov. 29, at 4:25 p.m., at Frankfort Regional Medical Center (FRMC).
Linda was born on March 17, 1959, in Paducah, Ky., to William Hughes and Pauline Walls-Hughes. She attended Paducah Tilghman High School and was formerly employed at Superior Care Nursing Home of Paducah and K-Mart in Frankfort. Linda retired from the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife Resources in 2020. She was a member of Graefenburg Baptist Church in Waddy.
Linda had a true servant's heart and exemplified self sacrifice throughout her life. She devoted herself to her mother, husband, daughter, and grandsons --- always placing their needs ahead of her own. She was so well known for her sweet disposition that it was easy to overlook the strength which lay beneath her gentle exterior. Linda was a lifelong Elvis fan and loved watching horror movies (especially the "Halloween" franchise) with her mother, daughter, and nieces.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Wallace, of Frankfort; her daughter Jennifer Clark, of Richmond, Ky.; her grandsons Case Clark and Wyatt Clark, both of Richmond; and her sister Kay Sparrow, of Lawrenceburg.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters Joyce Taylor and JoAnn McManus; and brothers Billy Hughes, George Hughes, and Robert Hughes.
Linda's family would like to thank the nursing staff at FRMC (3rd & 4th Floors) and the nursing staff at Frankfort Trails Rehabilitation Center for providing exceptional care, comfort, and support during her final months. Thanks also to the Frankfort Trails therapy staff for filling her last months with purpose.
Linda's memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, December 7, in the sanctuary of Graefenburg Baptist Church.
Noon & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with final care.
