Lester Herald
November 17, 1928 — December 19, 2016
Lester Herald, age 88, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, December 19, 2016 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Combs, KY to the late Dan and Terry Louraine Herald. He was a member of First Baptist Church, Joy Sunday School Class; Masonic Lodge #919; and a retired Sgt. Major with the U.S. Army and served in the Korean and Vietnam Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Delores Humphries Herald, Lawrenceburg; sister, Helen Pennington, Columbus, OH; two brothers, Dan (Ruby) Herald, Lexington, and Lee (Emma) Herald, Butler, KY.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Hazel Farris, Martha Hensley, and Ollie Story, and brother, Willie Herald.
Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 22, 2016 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Dr. Jeff Eaton officiating. Burial will follow in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Visitation 10 a.m.- 12 p.m. at First Baptist Church.
