Larry Clinton Hudson Sr.

Larry Clinton Hudson Sr., 83, was born August 26, 1942, to the late Saffell and Willie Mae Thurman Hudson, in Lawrenceburg, KY.  He passed away, Sunday, December 28, 2025, at Baptist Health Lexington.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Barbara Short Hudson, of Lawrenceburg, KY., 2 sons, 1 daughter & 1 son-in-law, Larry Hudson, Jr. of Lawrenceburg, KY., Latise White & George of Lexington, KY., Brian Hudson of Independence, KY., and two grandchildren: Chance Hudson & Hannah White. One sister, Cheryl Guthrie of Shelbyville, KY.

Mr. Hudson made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church in Lexington, KY.  He was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War, was a member of NABVETS, and he was employed at YKK for 40 years.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers and two sisters: Thomas Hudson, Mike Hudson, George Hudson, Donald Hudson, Jane Hudson and Allie Hudson.

Funeral services for Larry Clinton Hudson, Sr. will be conducted 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 3, 2026, at Shiloh Baptist Church in Lexington, KY.  Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 3, 2026, at the church from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M.

Officiating will be by Minister Ed Allen and the eulogy will be delivered by Pastor Marvin King.

Pallbearers are Terry Yeast, Trevor Short, Tyus Short, Thaddeus Mays, William Maxberry, Troy Mudd, Randy Hudson, and Dale Hudson.

Honorary Pallbearers include Roy Toney, Cedric Ponds, George White, George Brown, Robert Hudson, and Kenton Bottoms.

Burial will be held at a later date in Camp Nelson National Cemetery.
