Kasey Carter Sutherland

Kasey Carter Sutherland, 38, husband of Ashley Lynn Pettit Sutherland, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, June 2, 2021 while on vacation with his family in Myrtle Beach, SC.

He was born in Frankfort, KY to Jerry Thomas and Vickie Lewis Sutherland, of Lawrenceburg. He was a member at Alton Baptist Church; 2001 graduate of Anderson County High School; worked for Sutherland Enterprises as a carpenter; and spent his free time coaching t-ball and basketball for Anderson County Parks and Rec.

Along with his wife and parents he is survived by four children, Kaden Carter Sutherland, Makaya Sutherland, Kyla Sutherland and Kaisley Sutherland, all of Lawrenceburg; brother, Kirby (Samantha) Sutherland, Harrodsburg; mother-in-law, Vickie (Bob) Martin, of Springfield, OH; father-in-law, Shawn (Beckie) Pettit, Napoleon, OH; nieces Kayla Marie (Adam) Akins and Kennedi Ann-Thomas Sutherland, both of Lawrenceburg; and great-nephew Wyatt Luke Akins, Lawrenceburg.

Mr. Sutherland was preceded in death by a son, Kashton Sutherland.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 11, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Gary Ellcessor and Pastor Andrew Pettit officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3-8 p.m.

Casket bearers will be Donnie Lewis, David Stratton, Darrin Willard, David Griffie, Kyle Pettit, Andrew Pettit. Honorary bearers will be all the kids he coached in Anderson County Parks and Rec., Coach Glen Drury, Justin Pettit, Tyler Pettit, Alex Pettit, Travis Chesser, Evan Martin, Caleb Martin and Uncle Ed McKee.
