Joy Denise (Bryant) Thompson

Joy Denise Bryant Thompson, 56, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at the U.K. Medical Center.

She was born in Franklin Co. to the late Charles Edward and Waldene Cotton Bryant. She was a member at Tyrone Baptist Church and worked as a machine operator at YH America in Versailles.

Ms. Thompson is survived by one son, Joshua Kelly Thompson, of Lawrenceburg; three sisters, Janice Bryant, Frankfort, Lisa (Gary) Bryant Cole, Lawrenceburg, and Vicki Marlene (Mike) Cummins, Frankfort; 7 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; and beloved dog, Smoke.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Jeffery Neal Shouse.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, June 16, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Mark Webb officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday.

Casketbearers will be Bubba Cole, Jeremy Thompson, Steven Jeffries, Jonathan Cole, Devin Thompson, Patrick Beasley, David Carey, and Kaleb Mobley. Honorary bearers will be all of the nieces and nephews.
