John Kilgore Oakey

John Kilgore Oakey, age 52, of Frankfort, died Thursday, February 9, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Arkansas to John B. (stepmom, Karen) Oakey, of Oregon, and the late Ollie Anthony Kilgore Oakey.  He was a former Federal Corrections Officer for the Federal Medical Center in Lexington; and served with the U.S. Marines during the Desert Storm.

Besides his father, Mr. Oakey is survived by his wife, Angela Joyce Young Oakey, of Lawrenceburg; two sons, John T. (Mary Beth Knight) Oakey, of S. Carolina, and Jack Oakey, Louisville; and special friend, Marlene Jasper, Frankfort.

There will be no services.  Cremation was chosen.  Gash Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
