John Phillip Norton, Jr., 55, of Salvisa, died Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at J.B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.

He was born in Frankfort, KY to John Phillip Norton, Sr., of Lawrenceburg, and the late Brenda Joyce Burke Norton. He was a member of Capital Church of the Nazarene; member of the United Auto Workers Local 2383; and former employee at The Budd Co. in Shelbyville as a tool and die maker.

He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Devonda Kae Riley Norton, Salvisa; two sons, John Stedman (Carlena) Norton, Lawrenceburg, Nicholas Nathaniel (Elizabeth Crockett) Norton, Salvisa; two sisters, Beth Norton (Timmy) Wainscott,  Lawrenceburg, Patricia (Jeff) Boler, Frankfort; four grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Emily, and Molly Norton; and one aunt, Marjorie (Kenneth) Chism, of Frankfort

He was preceded in death by his son, Justin Ryan Norton and step-mother Patsy Norton.

Funeral services will be Friday, September 9, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday.
