James Melwood "Bud" Gash, 87, of Willisburg, died Friday, February 17, 2017 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Hansford E. and Fay Chilton Gash. Mr. Gash was a graduate of Western High School; attended Mt. Olivet Baptist Church; member of Anderson Masonic Lodge #90; and retired from Universal Fasteners. He also enjoyed spending his days fishing and hunting.

Mr. Gash is survived by his companion of 30 years, Doris Stone, of Willisburg; seven step-children, Pat Hall, Rodney Stone, Ricky Stone, Alton Stone, Janet Barnett, Noland Stone, and Timmy Stone; 12 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a son, James William "Jimmie" Gash and a brother, Gayle Gash.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, February 21, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Joe Lump officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5-8 p.m.

Casket bearers will be Ricky Stone, Troy Stone, Noland Stone, Timmy Stone, Rodney Stone, Dudley Gash, Chad Warner, Derek Stone, and Johnny Jones.`
