Irene Marie (Farris) Mason
August 11, 1931 — January 25, 2022
Irene Marie Farris Mason, age 90, widow of Willie Robert Mason, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 11, 1931, to the late Charles and Sarah Farris. Irene was a member of Meadowthorpe Baptist Church in Lexington, KY.
She is survived by one brother, Larry Farris and one sister, Patricia Gamble. Seven grandchildren, Stephanie (Leon) Riley, April Abshire, Lori (Martin) Casey, Heather (Robert) Agee, Brandon Taylor, Paige Mason and Jacob McIntosh as well as several great grand children, great great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Willie Robert Mason, three children, Debra Gail Abshire, Teresa Lynn Taylor and Robert Douglas Mason, two sisters, Juanita Hisle and Helen Simmons, three brothers, Thomas Farris, Albert Farris and Charles Farris and three grandchildren, Christopher David Wells, Amber Marie Mason-Holt and Robert Daniel Mason.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 8, 2022 from 5pm to 7 pm with services to begin at 7pm at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg, KY.
