George William "Bunk" Kinne, Jr.

George William "Bunk" Kinne, Jr., 66, husband to Joan Marie Bayless Kinne, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at UK Medical Center.

He was born in Monticello, NY to the late George Wilbur Kinne, Sr. and Betty Lou Hill Kinne. George was a graduate of Anderson High School and retired from LexMark formerly known as IBM where he worked in export shipping and receiving. Mr. Kinne really enjoyed vintage cars, drag racing, spending time with his rescue animals, building model cars, and race car engines.

Along with his wife he is survived by his daughter, Anita Michelle (Mike Garcia) Kinne; Godson, Kaeden Ray Hendershot; two sisters, Donna (Bobby) Kinne Callahan and Anita Kinne (Marty) Stratton, all of Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Carl W. (Barbie) Kinne, Paris and Mike (Robin) Kinne, Lawrenceburg; and grandson, Liam Corbin Clark, Lawrenceburg.

Mr. Kinne was preceded in death by his niece, Lauryn Kinne.

Funeral services will be Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 2:30 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Bennett and Michael McCurdy officiating. Cremation will follow after the service. Visitation will be from 11-2:30 p.m. on Thursday prior to the service.
