Garnett Elwood Chilton

Garnett Elwood Chilton, husband of 58 years to Linda Ward Chilton, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, April 28, 2018 at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Evert Hanley and Margaret Cottrell Chilton. He was a member at Anderson Christian Church and attended Pleasant Hill Christian Church. Mr. Chilton was a farmer. He was very faithful in serving the Lord and enjoyed spending his time on the farm.

Along with his wife he is survived by his son, John Kelly Chilton, of Lawrenceburg and sister, Elizabeth Brumback, of Lexington.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley McGaughey.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, May 2, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Junie Temple and Dr. Mike Hamrick officiating. Burial will follow in Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Tuesday.

Casket bearers will be Pat Nichols, Donnie Cuzack, Forrest Stevens, David Cottrell, Charles Wayne Bowman, and Davis "Shorty" Bowman.
