Frances Lorene (Knight) Shely

Frances Lorene Knight Shely, 93, of Lawrenceburg, wife of the late Floyd Shely, Jr., died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her residence.

She was born to the late William and Edith Tomes Knight.  She was a homemaker and a member of Glensboro Christian Church, and Ladies Sunday School Class.  She was a member of the Ladies Prayer Circle and enjoyed helping with Meals on Wheels.

Ms. Shely is survived by three daughters, Phyllis (Steve) Villines, of Ocean Springs, MS, Lisa (Jim) Shouse and Martie (Bruce) Chittum, both of Lawrenceburg; beloved family friends, Dewey Searcy, of Richmond, VA, and Debbie McCoy, of Lawrenceburg; 9 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and caregiver, Kim Butts.

She was preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Shely; and sister, Virginia Webb and a brother, Dale Knight.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jody Stamper officiating.  Burial will follow in the Best Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 P.M. Tuesday.
