Eldon Ray Ward

Eldon Ray Ward, 79, of Crestwood, KY, widower of Dorothy Jamison Ward, died Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, IN.

He was born in Anderson County to the late John Worley and Gracie Florine Gaines Ward. He was a 1956 graduate of Anderson County High School; member at Buckner Christian Church; retired cook from Camelot Rehabilitation after nearly 24 years; and formerly from A and P after 19 years.

He is survived by three daughters, Anita M. Ward, Owensboro, Jana (Willie) Riper, Beaver Dam, and Deana (Carl) Berry, Pee Wee Valley; five grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren.

Along with his wife Mr. Ward was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Francis Morris, Margaret Ann Ward, and one brother, George Ward.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow in Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 Tuesday before the services.

Casketbearers will be Mr. Ward's nephews and nephews-in-law.
