Edward Earl Hyatt, 84, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, May 23, 2016 at the UK Medical Center.
He was born in Anderson County to the late Robert L. and Edna Gladys Wallace Hyatt. He was a 1951 graduate of Anderson High School; member and deacon of Fox Creek Christian Church, and Punta Gorda Christian Church in Florida; window clerk at the Anderson County Post Office where he worked for 32 years; member of the Lawrenceburg Lions Club for 52 years; past President of KY Lions Eye Foundation in Louisville; and served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Mr. Hyatt is survived by his wife of 63 years, Mary Jo Ransdell Hyatt; son, Edward Allen (Sheila) Hyatt, both of Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Sharon Parker, Punta Gorda, FL, and Teresa Hyatt, Lawrenceburg; granddaughter, Heather Nicole Hyatt, and great-granddaughter, Parker Kate Simpson, both of Lexington; two brothers, James Leslie (Carlotta) Hyatt, Lawrenceburg, and Lewis Allen (Sandy) Hyatt, Frankfort; sister-in-law, Nancye Hyatt, Lawrenceburg; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Bradley Scott Cheak; and brother, Robert L. Hyatt, Jr.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 28, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Vernon Huber and Bro. Mark Wells officiating. Visitation will be 12-2 p.m. Saturday.
