Edith Fay Coke Young Colpitts, 78, of Lawrenceburg, died Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at the Masonic Home in Shelbyville.

She was born in Anderson County to the late Charles and Goldie Stratton Coke. She was a member at Pigeon Fork Baptist Church in Waddy and retired from the Kentucky State Government where she worked in the Department of Revenue as a secretary.

Mrs. Colpitts is survived by her husband of 25 years, Louis Alfred Colpitts, of Lawrenceburg; one son, Charles (Jennifer) Young, Frankfort; sister, Betty (Charlie) Chambers, of Indiana; and four grandchildren, Johnna Loman, Lawrenceburg, Jeremiah, Elijah, and Benjamin Young, all of Frankfort.

Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Young Loman.

Funeral services will be Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Jesse Baxter officiating. Burial will follow in the Sand Spring Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11-1 p.m. prior to the service.
