Donnie Lee Sutherland

Donnie Lee Sutherland, 70, of Lawrenceburg, died Sunday, August 20, 2017 at his residence.

He was born in Anderson County to the late Jesse Sutherland and Evelyn Drury Sutherland. He was a 1965 graduate of Anderson County High School; member at New Life Christian Fellowship and Masonic Lodge- Bear Creek 335. Donnie worked as a police officer for the Lawrenceburg Police Department and was a Deputy Sheriff for Anderson County.

Mr. Sutherland is survived by one daughter, Ashley Hope Sutherland, Lawrenceburg; two brothers, Jewell (Janice) Sutherland, Lawrenceburg, Jesse G. (Josephine) Sutherland, MA; two sisters, Carlotta S. (Jimmy) Hyatt and Joy S. (Allan) Riley, both of Lawrenceburg; special friends Kerry and Barb Markwell; and a favorite uncle, Elwood Drury.

Funeral services will be Thursday, August 24, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. First Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Knickerbocker and Bro. Garrett Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Gash Memorial Chapel.
