Dennis James Blissard

Dennis James Blissard, 69, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, July 9 2016 at Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

He was born in Santa Rosa, CA to the late James Wesley and Rae K. Blissard. He was a Veteran of the Air Force; served in the Vietnam War; and retired from General Cable where he worked as a Rod Machine Operator for 22 years.

Mr. Blissard is survived by his wife of 23 years, Janet Sue Drury Blissard, Lawrenceburg; three daughters, Michelle (Brian) Husted, Manchester, TN, Denise Blissard, Toledo, OH, Amber (Billy) Marshall, Lawrenceburg; four sons, Matt (Chasity)Snipes, Kelly Mitchell, Kris Mitchell, and Kevin (Amanda) Mitchell), all of Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Wendy (Michael) Hubbard, Jennifer (Buddy) Touchstone, both of Broken Bow, OK; and 11 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Sam Mitchell and sister, Sandy Wood.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, July 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. George Dye officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday.

Casketbearers will be Matt Snipes, Billy Marshall, Kelly Mitchell, Lee Snipes, Mike Durham, and Kevin Satterly.
