Delora V. Hogan Murphy, age 81, wife of Raymond Adam Murphy, of Lawrenceburg, died Friday, August 21, 2020 at her residence.

Mrs. Murphy was born in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky to the late Willie James and Lollie Dorsey Jennles Hogan.  She was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church and retired after 38 years from Austin Nichols Distillery.

Along with her husband she is survived by seven children, James Murphy and Sharon "Dottie" Chambers, Ronald Murphy, all of Lawrenceburg, Roy Wayne Hogan, Sherry (William) Layne, Maria Murphy, all of Lexington, and Steven Murphy, Frankfort; two brothers, James Hogan, Lexington, Albert Hogan, Cincinnati; and a multitude of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and step-children.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Jackson, and two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 25, 2020 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Rev. Johnny Cunningham, Rev. Danny Murphy, Rev. Joe Marshall, and Pastor Nicholas Banks officiating.  Visitation will be 11 am-1 pm prior to the service on Tuesday.

Casket bearers will be Noah Williamson, Joby Harvey, Julius Chappell, Dale Hudson, Terry Cason, and Rodney Chambers.  Honorary bearers will be Dewayne Hogan, Joey Penny, and Mikal Williamson.

The family will be having a private meal at Harvey Hall following the service.

To abide by the regulations set forth by the State of Kentucky, all persons attending a visitation or funeral will be required to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.  Fifty (50%) occupancy of the funeral home will be enforced.  Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding.
