Darnell Avery Pleasant, Sr.

Darnell Avery Pleasant, Sr., 96, of Lawrenceburg, widower of Flora Ann McKee, died Saturday, October 16, 2021 at Signature Healthcare at Heritage Hall.

Mr. Pleasant was born in Anderson County to the late Ed and Geneva (Brown) Pleasant.  He was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church; US Army Veteran; worked at Lloyds Furniture Store; and was a caretaker for Grace McKee and Catherine Lloyd.

Darnell is survived by several children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Mr. Pleasant was preceded in death by a son, Darnell Pleasant, Jr. and his first wife, Ollie Mae Pleasant.

Cremation was chosen and no services have been scheduled at this time. Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
