Danny Everett Kays
January 13, 1943 — February 13, 2016
Danny Everett Kays, age 73, of Lawrenceburg, died Saturday, February 13, 2016 at Kentuckiana Medical Center in Indiana.
He was born in Lawrenceburg to the late James Everett Harold and Verdie Zirl Robinson Kays. He was a member of Goshen Baptist Church; 1961 graduate of Western Anderson High School; 1964 graduate of Eastern Kentucky University with a Bachelor's Degree in Education; retired science teacher from Anderson County Middle School; and former principal, teacher, and basketball coach from Rutherford School.
Mr. Kays is survived by one son, James Forrest Kays; one daughter, Teresa Ann (Bobby) Denhart, both of Lawrenceburg; and two grandchildren, Lars (Lori) Denhart, and Amber Denhart.
He was preceded in death by one brother, William Dudley "Bill" Kays; and two sisters, Georgia Ann Dean and Mary Louise Puckett.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Roy Temple, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. Thursday before the services.
Casketbearers will be Ben Puckett, Will Puckett, Willie Puckett, Joey Puckett, Chris Puckett, and Lars Denhart.
