Clarence Dillard Sharp, Jr., 92, of Lawrenceburg, widower of Elgeather Davenport Sharp, died Friday, August 2, 2019 at his residence.
He was born in Taylorsville, KY to the late Clarence Dillard Sharp, Sr. and Alpha Oma Goodlett Sharp. He was a member at Lawrenceburg United Methodist Church; formerly owned and operated Danville Laundry and Dry Cleaning; retired from General Cable where he worked as a material handler; member of Anderson County Masonic Lodge #90; and enjoyed wood working.
Clarence is survived by one son, Wesley Doran (Johanna) Sharp, of Versailles; daughter, Patricia (Christine Ingersol) Sharp, of Burnside; brother, Philip Sharp, Taylorsville; sister, Catherine Wilson, of Edinburg, IN; one granddaughter, Alexis Lynn Sharp, of Cincinnati, OH; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his wife and parents he was preceded in death by four siblings, Louise Hilbert, Leonard Sharp, Earl Sharp, and Thelma Burns.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Pastor Errol Archerson officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Monday.
Casket bearers will be Doug Ingram, Richard Sweazy, Luther Davenport, Tom Conquest, Rick Wilson, and John Davenport. Honorary bearers will be Robert Wilson and Dudley Davenport.
