Chester Raymond Sutherland

Chester Raymond Sutherland, 74, of Lawrenceburg, died Monday, April 18, 2016 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

He was born in Anderson County to the late James Elbert and Blanche Curtsinger Sutherland. He was a member at Friendship Baptist Church; former owner of Anderson Dry Cleaner; and worked as a press operator at Universal Fasteners.

Mr. Sutherland is survived by his wife of 44 years, Linda Barnett Sutherland; two daughters, Tasha (Stevie) Kincaid, Melissa (Charlie) Monroe; son, Jerry Roe, all of Lawrenceburg; step-daughter, Robin Maxey, Bedford; four sisters, Joyce Perry, Betty Sue Sutherland, Linda Lou (Darrell) Satterly, all of Lawrenceburg, Dorothy (Sonny) West, Frankfort; seven grandchildren, Derrick Monroe, Brandon (Whitney) Monroe , Melinda (Justin) Smith, Crystal Roe Carlson, Corey Roe, Dalton Sutherland, Lucas Kincaid; two great-grandchildren, Kayleigh Dean and Merritt Smith; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother, James Sutherland and sister, Doris Murphy.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday at Gash Memorial Chapel with Dr. Robert F. Ehr and Bro. Randy Peyton. Burial will follow in Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.

Casketbearers will be James Cunningham, Kenneth Smith, Edward Curtsinger, Bobby Curtsinger, Brandon Monroe, Corey Roe, Stevie Barnett, Timmy Earlywine, and Darrell Satterly. Honorary bearers will be Derrick Monroe, Melinda Smith, Crystal Carlson, Dalton Sutherland, Lucas Kincaid, Jennifer Hatton, Cheryl Roe Swartz, Jeff West, and Jackie Lynn Sutherland.
