Bonnie Carol Lewis Napier, 70, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Otis J. Napier, Jr., died Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at her residence.
Mrs. Napier was born in Shelby County to the late Jodie and Ruby Catherine Thomas Lewis. She was a 1969 graduate of Anderson County High School; member of Evergreen Baptist Church; and a homemaker. She was also very passionate about donating to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
Bonnie is survived by a daughter, Gail Napier, Lawrenceburg; brother, Rev. Don (Claudia) Burley, Shelbyville; three sisters, Patsy Bean-Jones, Lawrenceburg, Sandy (Felix) Maxberry and Sue Johnson, both of Versailles; granddaughter, Lanesha Napier; great-granddaughter, Amariyah Napier, both of Louisville; best friends, Denise McKee, Betty Cunningham, and Jinny Mae Bixler; and goddaughters, LaQuisha McKee and Jojuan Gallman.
Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Lewis; two sisters, Betty Thompson and Joann Fuller; brother-in-laws, Howard Jones, Lewis Johnson, and Eugene Fuller.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Rev. Will Howard officiating. Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Visitation 12-1 p.m. Wednesday prior to the service.
Casket bearers will be Chris Johnson, Jarrod Johnson, Sean Bean, Louis Barnett, Scott Bean, John Redd, Josiah McKee, and David Dragons. Honorary bearers will be Tony Bean, Nathaniel Downs, Timmy Wiggington, Arthur Humber, Billy Downs, Cameron Mason, and Chance Mason.
