Blonnie Jean (Thompson) Bottom

Blonnie Jean Thompson Bottom, age 83, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Leon Bottom, died Friday, December 30, 2016 at her residence.

She was born in Anderson County to the late George Davis and Olive Atwood McMurray Thompson.  She was a member of Claylick United Methodist Church, and retired from the KY State Government, Child Welfare Department.

Mrs. Bottom is survived by a son, James Davis (Debbie) Bottom; daughter, Donna (Tim) Spivey, both of Lawrenceburg; six grandchildren, Jennifer Lynne (Adam) Hayes, Jordan Davis (Alex) Bottom, Joel Andrew Bottom, Kimberly Carol (Derrick) Cornish, Amy Elizabeth Spivey, Timothy Jay (Leeann) Spivey; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Steven Leon Bottom; sister, Darlene Doyle; and brother, John Davis Thompson.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 4, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Shannon Blosser officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
