Betty Catlett (Gordon) Flowers

Betty Catlett Gordon Flowers, 91, of Lawrenceburg, widow of James Franklin Flowers, Sr., died Thursday, October 4, 2017 at Baptist Health in Lexington.

Betty was born in Irvine, KY to the late Earl Bradley Gordon, Sr. and Georgia Catlett Gordon.  She was a 1944 graduate of Anderson County High School and U.K. Nursing School; member of First Baptist Church; and also a member of the Anderson County Library Board and Kentucky Literacy Program.  She previously worked as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital.

Betty is survived by a daughter, Vicki Flowers Cinnamon, Lawrenceburg; two sons, James Franklin (Deborah Kay) Flowers, Lexington, and Sam (Claudia) Flowers, Lawrenceburg; 6 grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Earl Gordon, Jr.

A memorial service will be November 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Colby Warren Flowers officiating. Visitation will be from 12-1 p.m. prior to the service.   Gash Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
