Bertha Kaltenbrun Caddell, 90, of Lexington, formerly of Anderson County, widow of David M. Caddell, died Saturday, April 29, 2017 at the Richmond Place in Lexington.

She was born in Frankfort, KY to the late George A. and Bertha Kring Kaltenbrun. She was a member of South Elkhorn Christian Church in Lexington; 1945 graduate of Frankfort High School; retired from 33 years of service to the State Department of Personnel where she worked as an Assistant Director of Physical Management.

Ms. Caddell is survived by one son, David M. Caddell, Jr., of Lexington; three grandsons, Bret Caddell, of Winchester, Christopher Caddell, Middletown, OH, and Cole Caddell, Nicholasville; five great-grandchildren, Wesley, Shelby, Henry, Casey, and Carter Caddell.

Along with her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Doyle.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2017 at South Elkhorn Christian Church with Associate Pastor Holly Fuqua officiating. Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery. Visitation will be 11-1 p.m. prior to the service at South Elkhorn Christian Church.

Casket bearers will be Peyton Vinton, Walter Moffett, Ben Moffett, Charlie Moffett, Coley Moffett, and Don Simmons.
