Beatrice (Stratton) "Bea" Mcdonald

Beatrice Stratton "Bea" McDonald, 92, of Lawrenceburg, widow of Bill Walter McDonald, died Wednesday, October 4, 2017 at Frankfort Care and Rehab.

Mrs. McDonald was born in Anderson County to the late Haskel and Mabel Stratton.  She was a graduate of Kavanaugh High School; member, trustee, and Sunday School Teacher at Alton Baptist Church; and retired as an Administrative Assistant from KY State Government, Cabinet for Families and Children.

Bea is survived by her son, Stephen L. (Lowanda) McDonald, Lawrenceburg; grandchildren, Stephanie and Larry Miller, Harrodsburg, Samantha (Craig) Banta, Madison, IN, Sean, Duncan, and Kyle McDonald, all of Jeffersonville, IN; several great-grandchildren; brother, Clifford (Judy) Stratton, West Virginia; niece, Janet English, Owen County; nephew, Jamie (Juanita) Jones, Lawrenceburg of which she raised; along with several other nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by sons, William Lynn McDonald and Thomas Haskel McDonald; granddaughter, Dana Celeste McDonald; brother, Maurice Stratton; and sister, Helen Stratton Jones.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Gash Memorial Chapel with Bro. Rick Shannon officiating.  Burial will follow in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday.
