Amy Edwina Shearer entered into the presence of the Lord on December 18th, 2025 at the age of 61. Amy was born to Gordon Parker and Dorothy Lee Thomspon on February 3rd, 1964 in Lexington, Kentucky.

Raised in a farming family, she and her sisters helped her father on their farm from a young age. As a child she loved riding the tractor with her father, helping in the garden, and going to church activities. Into her teenage years, she played the clarinet and was the captain of the Jessamine County Flag Corp. She attended Berea College and the University of Kentucky to receive her accounting degree. Amy was blessed with her son, Jordan, in 1992, and her daughter, Cassie, in 1999. She worked many years as an accountant, caregiver, and activity director. In all of which, she was a beloved co-worker.

Amy was a devoted mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and cousin. Her family and friends will remember her for her fierce loyalty to those she cared for, witty sense of humor, and laugh. She was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. She had a deep love for capturing life's moments through photographs and videos, finding joy in preserving memories of the people and places she cherished. Amy was a woman of unwavering faith, in which she drew her strength through all times and stages of life. Her journey on this earth was led by her love for the Lord.

Remaining relatives are Tony Shearer and her adored children, Jordan (Casey) Shearer and Cassie (Jay) Kummer. Her grandchildren Noah Parker Shearer, Amelia Kate Shearer, and Calloway Claire Kummer. Also surviving is Amy's mother Dorothy Thompson, sisters Linda (Carlton) Gay, Cathy Thompson, and niece Dusty Gay. Other family members include numerous cousins.
